The Safari Package List

Packing can be a stressful affair , it can leave you feeling frazzled and worried just as you are supposed to leave for an incredible adventure or relaxing getaway.

To help ease some of the stress, here is our list of safari essentials.

Clothing items that are an absolute must, gadgets that you may find useful if you are out in the depths of the wilderness, and some handy tips and tricks that will help you to feel calm and collected both before your departure and whilst on your holiday.

Before You Go...

Don't leave it too late to get prophylaxis injections or malaria pills if you need them where you are going. Some malaria pills need to be taken two weeks before travel, and some jabs need to be given a week or more before travel.

Make sure you have copies of your credit cards, passport, and your insurance details, including emergency contacts. Keep your insurance details handy and obvious.

Its better to be safe than sorry and make sure you have at least 6 months after your return date before your passport expires and a few blank pages to spare for official stamps.

Saying that, a little bar of soap can be useful in the bush if you just want to freshen up a top.

Long-sleeved tops will help protect you from insects and from the sun. Choose light colours as they act as a repellent and keep you cooler.

A warm hat can be useful on early morning game-drives or late evening al fresco dining to keep you nice and toasty.

Fancy jewellery and high heels are totally inappropriate on safari, but you may find that people like to dress up a little in the evening for dinner at some lodges, although it's not expected.
